Respecting Nature

The children were going to spend an afternoon at the park.
“Remember what we talked about, children. Be respectful to nature!” said the teacher.

The children played tag. They ran through the bushes and broke some branches.

When they ate lunch, they threw their garbage all over.
They made a game of throwing things into the pond.

They were very noisy as they walked in the woods.

But then, one of the children saw something special.
“Look, everyone! It’s a bird, feeding its babies!” said Luis.

“Sh! Let’s not scare the bird,” said Quisha. “Let’s be respectful of nature.”

The children stopped being so noisy

They picked up all their garbage from lunch.

They cleaned up the pond.

“Children, did you learn anything about nature today?” asked the teacher.

“Yes, we did. We learned that nature is very special!” said Tyler.
The teacher smiled. “I’m glad. Nature gives us so much to enjoy and we should always respect it.”
